Asynchronous Design
Throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic technology has been at the forefront. In this switch to digital learning I have overly used our digital platform Schoology to not only provide lesson materials, assessments, but also homework and routines. Before the closure I was already planning for completely digital homework for students this coming year. Little did I know we would be spending the year on the screen. These well developed and thoughtful courses I have created align with the coach standards of 4 and 6. While very similar to the explanation of my screen casts, this digital platform allowed me to create and share lessons with students that were of their interests and achievement level. Some lessons were not viewed by many but loved by just a few.
In addition this asynchronous work allowed for immense data collection which was used to guide our progress through learning standards. With student work quickly scored digitally for independent, assessments, and practice, I was able to use the analytics tool to find greater tends in students needs and successes.
This artifact displays my success on AECT 1 Due to the knowledge necessary to create assess and manage practical applications of educational technologies. While creating and assigning digital tasks for student to complete on their own, students are gaining a greater understanding of the synchronous learning as they practice on their own. It takes my knowledge of the various tools to select and create learning activities that are appropriate for my learners and to achieve the objectives that were given.
